Job Summary

Full-time in Albany, GA. The production Lead will coordinate teams of technicians and make sure aircraft assembly and/or repairs are completed in a timely manner. Job Summary:

As a Welder / Fabricator, you will support the maintenance and repair of aircraft and associated components. Performs welding to repair, modify, fabricate, or overhaul aircraft components, tooling, and other items requested.

Includes the use of plasma arc cutters, scarfing, oxygen acetylene, TIG welding, and other associated welding equipment. All work must be in accordance with the appropriate maintenance manual, overhaul manual, structural manual, and/or drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs welding of aerospace stainless steel and aluminum to blueprint and industry specifications using manual and/or automatic equipment.

  • Prepares parts for welding including cutting, blending, chamfering, and cleaning.

  • Prepares parts for post‐weld inspection processes such as dye penetrant, X‐ray, and chemical treatments.

  • Design support and fabrication tooling are required for welding and assembly.

  • Provides manufacturing feedback to aircraft mechanics, repair engineers regulatory auditors, and customers.

  • Lays out and fits all parts, maintaining all dimensional parameters.

  • Performs TIG butt and fillet welding.

  • Set up TIG machines for the type and thickness of the material being worked on.

Thrush Aircraft Quality Inspector's duties will vary depending upon experience and company needs. Here are some of the typical duties inspectors will perform:

  • Ensuring all processes and procedures are in compliance with Thrush Aircraft’s Quality Manual.
  • Inspecting products and materials for visible manufacturing defects.
  • Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that products meet approved design standards and tolerances.

Job Summary

This job involves tasks such as performing routine checks and repairs, installation of options and custom kits, keeping records of inventory and identifying faults with components of the plane.

This position is primarily for our repair stations but will also require work in our production facility as well. Overtime and weekend work may be required to maintain customer schedules.   • Update ADP every week with employee time. Schedule vacation for each employee and yourself as to not disrupt the production flow for your department.
  • You will be responsible for carrying out monthly one and one’s with your direct reports. You are also responsible for the hiring and dismissing of employees with the help of human resource department.
  • You will be responsible for communicating on a daily basis if any equipment is not working and when it will be fixed. Must also work with area supervisors on a work around method.
  • You must assure all equipment is working in the safest way possible and if it is not that it is locked out so no employee will get injured.
  • You must repair all equipment IAW the owner manual and all safety switches and covers are in working condition.
  • You must make sure at all times the plant is clean, outside grounds are kept, trash is picked up, and that all employees are working within the company safety guidelines.

In a Nutshell :

As Warehouse Manager for Thrush Aircraft your roll is to keep all items neat and organized for the entire plant. Assure all items are kept in there stocking location and inventory count is correct. All work orders should be accounted for and schedules should be accurate. At any time you should be able to assist anyone with finding or checking status of any item or work order. Note that although this role description includes your primary responsibilities, it is not inclusive. Your role is, in fact, to support all other functions within the Thrush organization.

This is What You Do as Warehouse Manager:

  • Understand in full the computer system, how it works, how it relates to others, and suggest improvements or report problems to Production Control.
  • Must be able to inform anyone on the current location or status of any item either as it is being built or in stock.
  • Must be able to accurately verify all part numbers and quantities when stocking items and when pulling for manufacturing orders.
  • Must stock all purchased parts that have been completed by receiving inspection and put the parts in the correct location file. Or deliver to the department that has a shortage or work order.
  • Maintain a schedule of work orders not only for the warehouse but all other departments, must maintain and answer comments quickly and accurately. Must assist area supervisors to inform them of any priority items.
  • Must perform Manufacturing Order reconciliation every quarter to assure all orders have been accounted for and inventory value is valid.
  • Must perform a plant wide yearend inventory of all items that carry value.
  • Must keep all stocking locations clean, organized, safe, and user friendly. Must keep warehouse clean, safe, and organized with no trip hazards and/or other obstructions. Perform monthly FOD walks and make sure your employees are trained on the process
  • Must keep up with all shortages and work with Production Control to keep them at a minimum.
  • Must have a full understanding of the plant layout, stocking locations, and processes departments perform.
  • Must be able to read and deliver manufacturing orders to departments with no errors.
  • Must make sure all parts are stored and processed IAW Thrush Aircraft Quality Control Manual.

  • You will be expected to communicate with material handlers and your supervisor anytime an item is not on schedule.

You are Responsible for Serving These External Customers by Doing The following:

  • You must know all items that are on the spares list. You must track each item daily and notify the spares department of items when they are complete.
  • You must help keep an accurate inventory at all times. When pulling parts or stocking parts always check the quantity on hand and the location file.
  • You must have a weekly meeting with Production Control to discuss the sales orders on all Planes and understand the options that are going on the planes.
