Thrush Aircraft Awarded Contract to Support Development of Guatemala Air Force Firefighting Program
Thrush Aircraft, LLC has been awarded a contract for three firefighting aircraft and related services as part of a comprehensive initiative to establish fixed wing firefighting capabilities within the Guatemalan Air Force.
The project represents the culmination of more than two years of collaboration and planning between Thrush Aircraft, government stakeholders, and international partners. The aircraft and services are being purchased by the Guatemalan Government through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) U.S. government process. The program is designed to enhance emergency response and operational readiness in Guatemala.
The contract provides the foundational components necessary to build a complete aerial firefighting program for the Guatemalan Air Force. In addition to the aircraft, the program includes command center equipment, pilot training, mechanic training, ground support equipment, and operational support systems essential for long-term mission success.

The first aircraft deliveries are scheduled for June 2026, with training and support operations occurring alongside aircraft integration to ensure the program is operational as quickly and effectively as possible.
